Merry Christmas!

"What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal and that every path may lead to peace."

Turns out it was a day off, but no one had told me, perhaps because I wasn't there on Friday.

I'll be having a quiet Christmas at home with L. My Dad is visiting my sister and her family in northern Alberta, and my brother is in Costa Rica. It has been a while since we had the whole family together at Christmas. I enjoy quiet time with L best of all, but I also miss the large family gatherings of my childhood.
