It is still dark in the mornings when I go to work. It is light when I come home, but not for long. Winter is my least favorite season. I can't complain, though. This winter has been very mild. I have a large hooded parka that keeps me cozy even at -40 degrees. I haven't had to wear it since the start of the year; in a more normal winter, I would need it most days.

Spring arrives in about six weeks. The days are getting longer, and soon will be getting warmer. I look forward to more sunlight, to green leaves and lawns, and to walking around comfortably outdoors.
