Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving Day in Canada. I am thankful:
• that I am alive and in good health
• that I have someone in my life who I love, and who loves me
• that I am employed, and have a reasonably good income
• that the members of my immediate family are all doing well
• that I live in a relatively free and prosperous country
• that I live in an endlessly fascinating universe: "The world is so full of a number of things, I’m sure we should all be as happy as kings" (R.L. Stevenson)
