I woke up around 6:00 a.m. this morning and got online to check the news sites. I've been checking them a lot since 9/11, probably too much. Then I went back to bed for a couple of hours. When I woke again, L challenged me to a race to see who could get dressed first, loser to buy the winner breakfast. I won, and we went out to our usual Sunday morning breakfast nook. I had coffee and an omelette. On the way back home, we stopped at the grocery store and did our week's shopping.

In the afternoon, we went for a walk, crossing Princes Island, climbing the stairs to North Hill, wandering around a park there, then going west to 10th Street and back towards downtown. It was about a five mile walk in all. I forgot to bring a bottle of water, and it was very hot and sunny, so we were both quite thirsty by the time we were done. We stopped at a pub near home and had a few Mike's Hard Lemonades. It was also an opportunity to discuss a few things... in vino veritas and all that.
