I got up a little early this morning and went out to breakfast with L. It was beautiful outside at 7:00 a.m. The streets were wet, though it had stopped raining. The air was fresh, and it was just starting to get light -- street lights and neon signs stood out noticeably. I wish I had taken my camera.

I bought a backup battery for my camera on eBay the other day, and am planning to get another flash card. My current 64Mb flash card holds about 100 pictures; if I can get a 160Mb card, that will allow me to take a total of about 350 shots. That should be more than enough for a two week vacation.
