This day has been dominated by the tragic events in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. I heard that two planes had crashed into the World Trade Center just as I was leaving for work. Throughout the day, I tried to follow the news through the web. Most news sites seemed to be unavailable, or to have only sketchy, outdated info. Initially, some of the best info I could find came through a Grateful Dead message board. Several of the participants were in NY and had first person accounts to share.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, as well as with the rescue workers and those who may still be trapped in the collapsed buildings.

On a more cheerful note, Wednesday is the birthday of the lovely and talented joyofmacs. Have a good one, Joy!
