the best of a bad lot!I tried taking some mirror pics at several locations today with poor results (see The Mirror Project for samples of what I was trying to do). Either I was too far from the mirror, or the background was boring, or the exposure was too long and the pic was blurry, or some combination of the above. I have to learn more about using my camera in manual mode.

I also want to learn more about my photo editing software (Corel Photo-Paint). I know how to do the basic stuff (crop, resize, convert, apply filters, etc.), but I have barely scratched the surface of what this software can do.

My ankle is feeling OK, but still a bit tender, swollen and bruised looking. I probably won't go on any 8 or 10 mile jaunts this weekend.

I've been listening to some new Dylan and Neil Young discs I got in the mail today.

The weather here is perfect: cool in the evenings and warm, but not hot, during the day. If only it could stay this way for the next six months...
