My first computer was a Commodore 64. I bought it in 1983 with an external 170K floppy drive and a copy of Microsoft Multiplan for around $900.

My second computer was an IBM clone, purchased in 1986. It came with a 4.77 Mhz 8088 CPU, 640K of RAM, two 360K floppy drives and a 14" monochrome monitor for $2200.

Since then, I haven't actually bought a new computer, I've just upgraded repeatedly, replacing every component 3 or more times.
