My work week has ended, and I have a 4-day weekend ahead of me. Monday is a Civic Holiday in Canada (or is it only in Alberta?).

I brought some work home. I don't know if I will spend any time on it, but I've been working on some changes to a program someone else wrote, and having some trouble with one aspect of it. Sometimes I am able to approach these things with a fresh perspective on the weekend, maybe because I am more relaxed, or maybe just because I want to get it out of my hair as quickly as possible.

I woke up about 4 a.m. this morning to the sound of gunshots -- at least two different guns, some blocks away. I haven't heard anything about it on the news. Big city life!
