It was L's birthday, so I took her out to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. Not the swankiest restaurant in town, but that's where she wanted to go. We always seem to enjoy it. In the summer, their patio is very pleasant. It's on an attractive, tree-lined street with just enough foot and vehicle traffic to be interesting, but not annoying.

It has been very hot and muggy here. Almost oppressively so. It makes me look forward to going to work, where I have air conditioning.
