I hope that keeping a journal will inspire me to lead a more interesting life. That is one of my goals for my LJ, to be a sort of feedback mechanism. If I don't have anything interesting to say -- why not?

Another goal is self-expression. It's a challenge to come up with something every day, and to try not to repeat myself. I hope that by showing different facets of my life and personality, a portrait of myself will appear. I've no idea what that portrait will be like. I have a very strong impression (correct or not) of the personalities of other LJers, but it is difficult to be objective about oneself, I find.
