I spent the weekend in Lethbridge visiting my Dad for Father's Day. We drove down early Saturday morning, took Dad to lunch, then did some shopping. Dad wanted to take a nap, so L and I went for a walk around Henderson Lake. Later in the evening, we all went to a young people's concert at the church. I hadn't been inside the place for 20 years...

On Sunday morning while my Dad was at church, L and I went for a hike in the coulees. The hills were green, and there were were many wild flowers in bloom, including some kind of cactus with a yellow flower. We saw crows and magpies, and heard (but did not see) gophers. Later we took my dad for brunch. We were famished, not having eaten at all before our hike.

The weather was ideal, warm and sunny both days, only turning cool and cloudy as we drove north, back to Calgary.

A few examples of trees broken by the accumulation of snow, as mentioned in my last post. The snow is gone, but the damage remains.
