When my clock radio turned on this morning, the announcer said it was -29 C, with a wind chill factor of -37 C. In the Calgary Herald, I read that we were the second coldest place on earth today. The Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica was a wee bit colder. Presumably the North Pole was warmer.

Winter doesn't officially start for another 4 weeks!
