It was cool and very windy this weekend, especially on Saturday, so I stayed in and did our taxes. That only took me a couple of hours. It seems to get faster and easier every year. I can remember back in the 1970s and early 1980s, filling out forms by hand and having to redo everything if I found a mistake or another tax receipt arrived in the mail. So much easier now with software. I've started filing online the past few years, too, which saves the hassle of printing and mailing the forms.

Apart from that, I read 100+ pages per day of The Children's Book (link is to a short YouTube interview with the author). Definitely not a book for children, but (among much else) it follows the lives of a group of children growing up in late Victorian England.
