The leaves are starting to turn colour here, but up until the past day or two we have been enjoying hot weather and blue skies. It is cooler now, and we might be getting snow on the weekend.

We've had a few incidents of things falling or blowing off skyscrapers under construction in the past few months, near where I live. In one case, a little girl was killed. It makes it a little unnerving walking home past these sites, especially when there is a high wind, as there was tonight.

I've tried half a dozen alternatives to our old favourite breakfast place, which is now closed and gutted. The best I've found is The Bistro at Art Central. Nice décor, good food, great coffee, reasonable prices, open for breakfast 7 days a week and not too far to walk. I'll have to try it for dinner sometime soon, too.
