I finished watching the second season of Deadwood the other day. It's a great show, but fairly shocking at times. I'll wait a while before attempting the third season. Currently, I'm reading Middlemarch. It's a huge Victorian novel set in England during approximately the same time period as Deadwood, but it could be on a different planet. Very refined and proper, yet it deals with some of the same human drama.

My thighs are sore from duckwalking back and forth through thick brush yesterday to find a geocache. I did find it eventually, and picked up a cute alien travel bug to move to another cache.

It must have been the hottest day of the year here -- about 30°C (86°F).

A few examples of trees broken by the accumulation of snow, as mentioned in my last post. The snow is gone, but the damage remains.
