We went to Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary this morning. It was our first visit to this park, which is north of the Bow River (on the right in this picture). Spring has finally arrived; for the first time this year I was able to go outdoors without a coat.
Lorna examining a fallen tree. I like the unkempt state of Calgary's natural areas.
Chickadee watching me hunt unsuccessfully for a geocache. I was telling it what a pretty bird it was, and it was probably hoping I would go away without eating any of its worms and grubs.
We found 5 geocaches in the park, bringing my total finds to 387.
