The annual Lilac Festival was held this weekend. The city blocked off a mile and a half of 4th Street S.W. which was filled with arts and crafts booths, bands, dancers and crowds of people. We spent an hour or two there today. It was fun; a different type of crowd than I normally encounter in my daily rounds. I had my camera, but didn't use it. I would have felt a bit uncomfortable photographing strangers.

I've had to file for another tax reassessment, after receiving an information slip that I should have received three months ago. I hope that my year 2000 taxes are now complete.
