I've been setting up a little database of my music collection using TiddlyWiki, a freeware "wiki" with good search and tagging capabilities. Whether I'll ever get my collection completely entered is debatable, but I like the idea of being able to keep track of what I have, organize it in what I think are logical ways, add external links to online discographies, etc. Here is a sample of what I've come up with:
