I mentioned in this post my intention to read the major novels of John Cowper Powys. I finished Maiden Castle, the last of the six novels I had in mind, a few weeks ago. It was probably the weakest of the lot, though still a good read. I have a few more Powys books in my "to be read" queue, including his Autobiography and a couple of novels retelling Homer (Atlantis and Homer and the Aether). I'll get to them before too long.
