It has been raining here for six days straight. I would like to see the sun again, please!

I gave up on Gloriana after reading the first third. The fantasy elements were uninspired, the main characters repulsive, and after checking the reviews on Amazon I was convinced it wouldn't get any better.

I've been watching a couple of British detective series on DVD, Inspector Morse and Midsomer Murders. I'm an Anglophile, and I really enjoy the settings and the characters and the humour. I sometimes wonder how different my life might have been if my old man had stayed in England after marrying my mother, rather than bringing her back to Canada. But that's not the way things were done back then.

I have been busy at work the past week or so, but I finished up a project today and am back to not having much to do. I expect something else will come along soon.
