old wagon on the prairie near Bearspaw

My geocaching day trip on Sunday went well. I found all the caches I was interested in, plus a few more for good measure. I thought I'd have time to do even more, but I'd underestimated the time involved in driving, hiking and searching. I never did get to Big Hill Springs; perhaps another time.

The most interesting place I went was Griffith Woods, a beautiful natural area in southwest Calgary. I hadn't been anywhere near there before, and didn't know we had a pine forest within the city limits. It was very pleasant walking through it in the cool morning air.
