Looking west toward downtown Calgary from a bridge near the zoo. There's a geocache hidden on the riverbank a few yards from here, one of four I found this morning. It has been a mild winter so far, but the river is completely frozen over in many places (there was open water east of here, hosting a large duck population). Notice how long the shadows are. This picture was taken at midday, but at this time of year the sun is very low on the southern horizon. The tall building in the distance is the 53-storey Petro-Canada Centre.
