I'm feeling a little melancholy over the changing of the seasons. The days have gotten so much shorter. It makes me thankful for electric light! Speaking of which, I recently installed my first spiral energy-efficient bulb. It works fine and seems to run a little cooler than an incandescent bulb. For some reason I can't quite identify, I like the little flicker it does when it is first turned on. It won't reduce my electric bill, as utilities are included in my rent, but it helps the environment, and virtue is its own reward. Or so they say.
