Next Monday is Victoria Day in Canada, which means a four-day weekend for me. This holiday is sort of the unofficial kick-off to summer here. Lots of people will be going out of town to the mountains, lakes, etc.

I really should plan a few weekend getaways. There are a few places I want to go. I haven't taken any vacation time yet this year, either.

I had been thinking of going to Vegas around April, but that didn't happen. Now that the weather is getting nicer, the need to get away is less pressing. On weekends in the summer, the downtown area is very quiet, with almost a small town feel (aside from the skyscrapers).
