geese heading for Bow River

I took this pic of a goose and goslings heading for the river during a walk today. It was a warm day, though not as warm as the weatherman had predicted, and overcast.

On the way back, we enjoyed ice creams at Eau Claire Market. I had a chocolate milkshake, Lorna had a black cherry soft ice cream cone.

Then we headed for a video store in Chinatown that used to have one of the better selections in town. Since I had last been there, several years ago, it had moved. After finding the new location, I was disappointed to find that they now specialize in oriental movies and have only a few small racks of recent English-language releases. A great place to go if you want a karaoke DVD in Chinese, but not much use if you are looking for The Producers or The Fortune Cookie.

I'll have to find another video rental place that has a better selection than the grocery store across the street where I usually get the latest releases.

A few examples of trees broken by the accumulation of snow, as mentioned in my last post. The snow is gone, but the damage remains.
