We had one yesterday. I heard a horrible noise and looked out to see a semi backing up, with about the first 10 feet of its trailer peeled back. As I say, it's something that happens every few years.
This afternoon I heard much the same awful noise, only worse. I looked out, but couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. A few minutes later police cars arrived, and then a big tow truck. After an hour or two, they managed to winch another truck out from where it was stuck beneath the underpass. The roof on this one was peeled back like a sardine can.
I can hardly wait to see what happens there tomorrow.
