I took Lorna to dinner at Cajun Charlie's early this evening, the first (and probably the last) time we have been there. The service was very slow and it seemed they were out of half the items on the menu. I had blackened red fish, which was dry and didn't have much flavour. I improved it somewhat with a liberal application of Scotch Bonnet Pepper hot sauce. Lorna had a gumbo which was really excellent. I wanted mud pie for dessert, but they were out of that too, so we went next door to Ben & Jerry's for some of their delicious Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz ice cream.

In spite of the negatives, we enjoyed sitting on CC's patio, watching the passersby and soaking up one of the last hot days of summer.
