Got some CDs in the mail today. The Rolling Stones Stripped Companion bootleg, which consists of outtakes from Stripped and Voodoo Lounge... and a few other discs which I won't mention, because on first listen they have some flaws (pops and clicks). Because of the way audio information is stored, it is easy to introduce flaws when extracting digital information from a CD. There is software which will do multiple reads and compare the results in order to ensure an accurate extraction, but not everyone thinks it is important to do that...

Mostly I trade with people I know, who know what they are doing, but occassionally I venture further afield. As often as not, I regret it. However, the Stones disc is more than good enough to make this trade worthwhile.
