Someone who moved out of the building earlier this month gave us a microwave oven, and we (well, Lorna) have been learning to use it. We went grocery shopping this morning and got some frozen basa fish, which we (OK, Lorna) tried cooking tonight. It didn't take long to cook, but best of all it didn't create any fishy cooking smells and didn't generate any heat. I don't know why we didn't buy a microwave a long time ago.
