Use OpenOffice.orgI downloaded 2, the free, multiplatform office suite, last weekend. I have been using Version 1 for several years and have been quite happy with it. I haven't explored the new version in depth, but it looks good and runs my old files and macros. I've converted my handful of spreadsheets and documents to their new, XML-based OpenDocument format. I am going to explore their database program on the weekend, with the (half-baked) idea of creating databases for my books and CDs.
