Calgary Zoo

Grizzly bear

This morning I went to the Calgary Zoo with Lorna and a lady who used to work in our apartment building (until she retired a week ago). It was hot and sunny, but clouded over and started to rain lightly by the time we left. In addition to the animals in these photos, I saw a snow leopard, an elephant, wood bison, musk ox, a number of different primates and much more. Also hordes of human children! We spent some time in the conservatory checking out the tropical plants, desert plants and butterflies. We didn't manage to see even half of what is available at the zoo, but after 4 hours we were all ready to call it a day.
