Construction

This is one of many construction sites in my stomping grounds of downtown Calgary. I used to take a short-cut through the parking lot beside this building, but no more. Now even the sidewalk in front of it is inaccessible. There must be about 10 such sites that I pass by regularly. Some are new high-rise office towers started from deep excavations, others (like this one) gut an existing building and add new floors to it.

I would rather be taking nature photos, but it is still too cold to be comfortable outdoors and the winter landscape is dreary.

A few examples of trees broken by the accumulation of snow, as mentioned in my last post. The snow is gone, but the damage remains.
