I went out tonight with L for beer and burgers at the local pub. Had been avoiding the place for a while, as the last few times we had been there it seemed too noisy. Tonight it was much better; maybe I was just in a more relaxed mood.

I've been doing stretches (gastroc, soleus and intrinsic) for my heel pain. I've also put cushioning heel pads in my shoes. I showed them to L who thought they weren't thick enough, but I told her that if they were any thicker I'd be in danger of tipping over and falling on my face.

It has been cool and overcast all weekend, and I have hardly ventured outside at all. I'm slightly envious of my brother, who is working in Brazil, which he describes as "a sunny, warm place full of beautiful ladies".
