I forgot to set my alarm clock last night and woke up about 40 minutes late this morning. I rushed around and made it to work... late.

I had an appointment with my optometrist today. Annual checkup. The multifocal contact lenses are working out very well. My closeup vision is 100% and distance vision is 95%. They photographed my retinas with a new digital camera and explained the results, which were displayed on an LCD monitor. Everything looks healthy. The images will be stored as a benchmark for future examinations. Much better than the old system that printed Polaroids.
