Hanauma Bay
Hanauma Bay, a cove formed when the outer wall of a volcanic crater collapsed, letting the ocean in. The dark areas underwater are coral reefs.

Kuhio Beach
We walked along Kuhio Beach one morning just after sunrise. It had been raining on and off.

marina
Boats in a marina near Fisherman's Wharf.

Lorna
Lorna with a serious expression, looking at the ocean in Ala Moana Beach Park.

North Shore
Along the North Shore. The road is on the right, and the beach is on the left.

beach
The North Shore, on the way to the beach. If I recall correctly, this was Sunset Beach.

waves
The surf on the North Shore was high that day, about 15 feet. The previous day it had been 40 feet.

surfers
These surfers were up for the challenge.

flower
An unusual flower in Queen Kapiolani Park. I've no idea what it is.

boat
Taken from the balcony of our hotel room on the day we left. I used a 6X zoom.
