At work, I've been trying to improve the performance of some of our software, with reasonable success. It involves a little analysis, a little guesswork, a little programming and a lot of testing. I must say that I am not a fan of Oracle (we prefer Progress RDBMS, but some of our clients have standardized on Oracle).

Henry's emailed me a tracking number for my camera. It arrived at my post office yesterday, supposedly, but I haven't received it yet. I'll ask at the counter tomorrow if they haven't left a card in my box. Soon I will have it in my hands!
