I've ordered a new digital camera, the Panasonic FZ3 (review here). I had been thinking about getting one of the later Canon models like the A80 or S60, but when I heard about the Panasonics with Leica lenses, 12x digital zoom and optical image stabilization, the Canons lost their appeal.

I've had my old camera (a Canon S100) for 4 years and it has worked well, but I wanted something with more features and better picture quality. The only negative I see with the FZ3 is that, although it is quite compact, it is much larger than the tiny S100.
