The King Eddy, a local hotel and blues bar, was shut down by the health department a few weeks ago. All the permanent residents have been relocated. Yet to be determined is whether it will be torn down or renovated (it is owned by the city).

Speaking of blues... I'm interested in a band called Grady, which is the new project for Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar fame (if you're not Canadian, you've probably never heard of him). All I've heard so far are the two songs they have posted on their site. Recommended, if you like blues-rock. I'm looking for some live recordings, but haven't had much luck. I know they're out there!
