We're having a rip-roaring thunderstorm here, complete with hail. Very tiny hail, admittedly.

Yesterday I explored the Bow River Pathway from Old Refinery Park through Beaverdam Flats to Carburn Park. It was rather unremarkable, though Carburn Park is pleasant enough. While looking for the start of the pathway, we got sidetracked into a little park between two freeways and an overpass, and startled a red deer grazing in the trees. My heart sank as it bounded off toward one of the freeways, but fortunately it got across without incident.
