Canada Day

I was planning to go Princes Island this afternoon to check out some of the celebrations, but we had a huge thunderstorm that lasted most of the afternoon, with much rolling and crackling thunder and several nearby strikes that made me jump. Presumably the celebrations were something of a washout.

I had been out earlier in the day and it felt like Hawaii -- warm and humid, with no wind. There were very few people about, and it felt very peaceful. Just a perfect summer morning.
