It rained overnight, but for some reason it didn't occur to me to take an umbrella to work, so I got wet on the way home. I like the rain, though. It's just as well that I do, because we are supposed to get several more days of it.

I'm on a 4-day weekend, Monday being Queen Victoria Day. QV Day is the unofficial start of summer, and people go camping and so on, weather permitting (which it isn't). They aren't making queens like Victoria anymore.

The Flames won their best of 7 last night, so they are going on to the finals (or whatever they are called -- I don't know the terminology). There was the usual shrieking, beeping, engine-revving and whatnot for about three hours after the game, but just after I went to bed (around midnight), the fans fell silent, which I thought was awfully considerate of them.

I'm sitting at the computer with a glass of port. I'm trying to dream up some activities for the weekend. I need a social director -- also a chef, valet, maid, masseuse...

Good night!
