While I was in Honolulu, I saw my first Segway. Over the next few days, I kept running into more of them. Finally I figured out where people were renting them, and of course I had to try one out for myself.

It was quite easy to ride. You lean forward to make it go forward, backward to go in reverse. Twisting the left handlebar turns it. I don't plan to buy one, but I am glad I tried it. I can imagine situations in which it would be a good form of transportation.
