At work, we've just finished an upgrade of our software at a client site. I had written a program to convert royalty data for a table restructuring, and spent half a day testing it on a copy of their live data. I had to fix a bug in my program, make a minor logic change and clean up their data somewhat to get it to work correctly. If it wasn't exactly right, the correct royalties wouldn't be paid.

I downloaded a couple of Hot Tuna shows tonight using BitTorrent. With the more popular taper-friendly bands, recordings of their concerts turn up on BitTorrent a day or two after they are played. It's a pretty cool use of technology.

There are big fluffy snowflakes falling here tonight, with no wind. It feels very Christmasy.
