I've finished reading Okla Hannali, by R.A. Lafferty. It's a novel about the removal of the Choctaw, told through the life story of Hannali Innominee, a giant and a chief of the tribe. It's a blend of tall tale and history, and is by turns both hilarious and sad. I'll be keeping this one for future re-reading.
