Lorna's appetite started to come back yesterday, so we went out for our Thanksgiving turkey dinner. It was 3 courses -- a squash soup, the turkey main course, and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. The dessert was excellent. It was in layers, and had a spicy flavor I couldn't identify... it might have been cinnamon and something else.

L is pretty much back to normal. I think she might have had a touch of food poisoning; she had lunch with a friend on Thursday, they both had the same thing and both felt ill afterward.

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night, then had vivid dreams. One was of my mother. She had just come back from a trip, and I hugged her. Then I woke up, remembering she was dead.

Here are a few more pictures I took last weekend while hiking the Douglas Fir Trail. I keep thinking back to that day.
