I had a pleasant Easter. We went out for a brunch buffet this morning at a local hotel. We hadn't been there for a few years, but the waitress remembered us. It used to be a fantastic buffet with all kinds of salads, seafood, fruit and desserts, in addition to the usual breakfast items, but now it has just the basics. Probably that's why we don't go there much anymore, but it still is a nice setting and makes for a special outing.

I also got out for a few long walks. The weather was mild, though it was overcast and the city looks rather dismal at this time of year. We need some rain to wash away the accumulated dirt of winter, and then some sunshine to get the plants growing. It will only be a few weeks before the city starts to turn green. There is such a dramatic difference between the seasons here.

We saw some very unsavory looking characters on the street. I commented to L that when we are walking together, we are a two-headed, four-armed, 300-pound monster that needn't fear a few street punks. "Yes, because we can probably run faster than them," was her reply.
