morning coffee

(no subject)

This week has been a blur, between working, following the US elections and whatever else I was doing (mainly watching TV & vegetating). I've been horribly lax about updating my LJ...

I lost some money on WorldCom stock a few years ago, and yesterday I got a claim form for a shareholder class action lawsuit. I think most shareholder suits are legalized extortion that benefit only the lawyers, and I usually rip up claim forms and toss them out, but in the case of WorldCom they really did scam investors, so I probably will submit my claim. After digging out my records, photocopying and mailing them, I hope I get back more than the cost of postage.

I'm still going through my Grateful Dead collection, both the commercially-released stuff and the unreleased live concert recordings. I have tossed a few shows, upgraded many and downloaded a few more, and most of all I have listened in sequence to this material that I acquired willy-nilly over the past 5 years or so. I've gotten through 1973 and 1974, and am nearly done with 1972. That may not sound like much, but even in my very modest collection it comes to 60 or 70 CDs. Next up: 1971.
