morning coffee

(no subject)

I've installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, and so far everything seems to be working fine. I've turned off Windows Firewall, since I have ZoneAlarm installed.

Unfortunately, when I tried testing BitTorrent I somehow messed up a Gov't Mule show I had downloaded yesterday, so I've got to download it again.

I'm going hiking in Fish Creek now...

Sunday

pond in Fish Creek Park

I hiked in Fish Creek Park this morning. It wasn't overly warm, but at least it was sunny. By the time we were ready to come home, it was clouding over, and by this evening it was raining.

While we were there, L saw a tree that had several feet of bark stripped off, and she suggested that a bear might have done it. I pooh-poohed that, saying that it wasn't likely there would be a bear that close to the city in a heavily frequented park. As we were leaving, we saw a sign: Caution - Bear in Area. I had to rush to keep up with L as she headed for the exit.

I'm trying LJ's photo hosting service for this pic; it seems to work OK. I'll have to play with it some more to really understand it, though.
