I had a low-key weekend. The weather was poor -- snowing on Saturday morning, then windy and grey -- and I didn't feel like doing much of anything. Watched Blade II, a violent and gory movie. An ex-vampire teams up with his vampire enemies to fight a new race of super-vampires. They all have martial arts skills that would put Bruce Lee to shame. To me, the real star was Kris Kristofferson, whose character displays no interest in neck-biting, and who mostly just limps around making laconic observations. Sort of a Walter Brennan for the 21st Century. It was a well-made movie with excellent special effects, and I found it entertaining.
